We know we should begin each day by going to the Lord.
Some choose to read the Bible, some think they might get bored.
But maybe you would rather sing a praise and worship song.
No matter how you start with Him, you really can't go wrong.
Some begin by praying and sometimes we forget,
just what we should say first, we "think" too much,
and yet we then try to remember that acronym of ACT,
and what the letters stand for, and what are all the facts.
A is for acknowledgement of God The Holy One.
Put Him first no matter what and praise the blessed Son.
C is for confession, give Him all your cares.
Ask Him for forgiveness, He listens to your prayers.
T is for thanksgiving for all His many blessings
and all of His forgiveness of all of our confessing.
So whether you choose to sing or pray or read your daily Word,
you'll know He's always with you, of that we are assured.
