How fast our lives can turn around, one moment all is well.
Then in one small moment things begin to change.
First thing in the morning, all laughter and fun and then,
"SNAP," you yell and go into a rage.
Maybe it was something small, the pressure of the day
that made you say something you know you shouldn't.
But out it came, those hurtful words, you tried to stop, but couldn't.
Losing control is a feeling that takes on many faces.
Some ugly and we wish we could forget,
the ones who felt the impact of our anger and our screams,
the things we said, the feelings of regret.
Try this week to take a breath before you say a word.
Ask God to guard your mouth each and every day.
And know he'll help you if you wait before you say a thing.
Begin each sentence after you have prayed.
