The loss of a loved one, the pain runs deep.
You talk to your friends, for comfort you seek.
But peace and assurance can come from above.
Seek only His wisdom, seek only His love.
Poem by: Norma Spiller
I wrote this Saturday morning for my sister who lost her husband and is still having a hard time with grief even though it has been over a year. Most of us have experienced a loss and all of them are painful and difficult. I have learned over my 61 years of life that peace and comfort can come from family and friends but real peace can only come from God. Let's pray this week for all who still suffer the pain and loss of loved ones and friends. Be a friend to those you know who need a special touch from God. May His peace fill you this week.
Love and prayers, Norma
Scripture: Psalm 5:11,12
But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
