When challenges come at us throughout every day how will we face them? Do we sit home and have a big cry and a pity party? Do we call a friend and whine for too long? Do we get mad for all the wrong reasons because, "It's not my fault!"? I personally have tried all of these and they work for a little while. I know all the right things to do when I am not rushed or stressed but being in such a hurry sometimes I react instead of respond. We need to slow down, breathe deeply, then pray for the peace to deal with the situation or circumstances in a calmer manner. Trust that God is there for us in all we do and if we just take the time to pray or just listen we will survive that chaotic moment a little better. Life is a challenge and I challenge all of us to slow down, breathe in deeply and take the time to hear from God today and all week. Listen, He does!
Scripture Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! "
Psalm 62: 5
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
