"An apple a day keeps the doctor away,"
but the fruits of the spirit remain.
They produce within each of us the nature of Christ
if we imitate him and do the same.
Do things like Christ and fulfill all the law,
call for his help every day.
Be filled with his Spirit, be a witness to all
and commit to a more excellent way.
Love, joy and peace are the first of the gifts
then patience and kindness to show.
Faithfulness next and gentleness too
and the last is self-control.
Pour into your heart these wonderful gifts.
Be strengthened and be renewed.
Know that his Spirit and gifts are a part
of his love for both me and for you.

Pray this week for others to see his fruits as you minister them in your own lives.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
