Grandma used to tell us not to air our dirty laundry.
Some things we do not talk about to others.
Be quiet when adults are near and wait your turn in line
and share your toys with sister and with brother.
Say please and thank you often and excuse me when you should.
Those kind words are what nice boys and girls should do.
And when in school please wait your turn and raise your hand to ask
be patient, it's the right thing to do.
So many rules for little ones to learn as they grow up
rules we all should follow every day.
Show kindness and respect for those who you see this week
and be sure to let them know that you will pray!
I know this may sound a bit corny, but many generations have forgotten how important simple gestures of kindness are. We need to teach them and remind them of what the Bible tells us to do.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness, love. 2 Peter 1:5-7 (NIV)
